Kratom is one of the most popular tea in parts of Asia. People in that part of the world take it as a tradition and not necessarily for the health benefits that it offers. You can now buy kratom tea in the market. There are various methods of preparing kratom tea and the method used will depend on personal taste and preferences.
You can decide to use kratom powder, dried leaves and each of these will give you different levels of concentration. The best way to prepare this tea is using dry kratom leaves. It is believed dried leaves produce the highest grade of tea compared to fresh leaves and powder.
Steps in preparing kratom tea
Dry kratom leaves
To make a concentrated extract of kratom tea, you will need dry leaves. To get dry leaves, you can decide to obtain fresh leaves and dry them under the sun. It might take about few days for the leaves to dry completely. Once the leaves are completely dry, crush them into tiny pieces. You will need about 50 grams of these leaves to make one liter of kratom tea.
Boiling of the leaves
To obtain a concentrated and strong extracts, you will need to boil the leaves well. In a liter of hot water, pour the leaves and allow the tea to boil. It will take about 15 minutes for the tea to boil to the full capacity. The more you continue boiling the tea, the more concentration you will obtain from the tea.
Strain the leaves for a second pint of tea
Once the leaves have boiled for 15 minutes, you can strain them from the liquid using a sieve of any other strainer that you have. The leaves are still strong enough to make another pint of tea. Use the leaves and pour them back to boiling water. After this second process, you can now through away the leaves after straining all the liquid from them.
Combine the two pints of liquid and boil again
After obtaining the liquid from the first and the second boiling process, combine them in one pot. Start boiling them slowly until the liquid is concentrated enough to the capacity that you want. At this time, you are supposed to boil the liquid over low heat.
Allow the liquid to cool and refrigerate
After you finish boiling the liquid, allow it to cool and later refrigerate it. You can take the refrigerated liquid for a maximum of five years to make sure that it is still fresh enough when taking. You can add a natural sweetener like honey.
